Important top spot in the semi decided this afternoon

We now know the four teams that will be competing in the Louis Vuitton Cup semi finals. This afternoon BMW Oracle Racing take on Emirates Team New Zealand, the winner will take the top place in the rankings and will get to choose their opponent in the semi finals. This is important as it is widely agreed that three teams are head and shoulders above the others, the other team being the Spanish entry Desafio Espanol who claimed the last semi final place. In all probability the team that wins today will choose Desafio Espanol in the semi final, the looser having to tackle the highly rated Luna Rossa team from Italy. The semi finals will be raced over the best of nine flights and will start on the 14th May
